I made this after a Summer Solstice Celebration. The words from torn and distressed pieces of a prayer that was read. "The trace of the sun...across the sky, leaves it's shining message...illuminating...warming...strengthening...We are yet alive!...And this fire...our fire...shall not die!" Made of wood frame and various pieces of wood trim, beads, a painted feather, a painted plastic lizard, wire and stamped images. The sun face is made of stamped polymer clay. A metal tea candle holder and fringe. The Japanese character on top means "sunrise".
